These Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy apply to all experiences, workshops, events and activities organised by Járnheim.
By making a booking with Járnheim, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.
1. Booking Confirmation
Your booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully received and you have received a booking confirmation email from Járnheim.
Please check your booking details carefully and contact us immediately if any information is incorrect.
2. Payments
Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
All prices shown on our website are in Pounds Sterling (£) and include VAT where applicable.
3. Cancellations by You
If you choose to cancel your booking:
- More than 30 days before your event – You will receive a full refund.
- 30 days or less before your event – No refund will be issued.
If you are unable to attend, please contact us as soon as possible. At our sole discretion, we may allow your booking to be transferred to another available date. Any transfer is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.
4. Cancellations by Járnheim
Occasionally we may need to cancel or postpone an event due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Severe weather
- Safety concerns
- Insufficient participant numbers
- Staff illness
- Unforeseen operational circumstances
If this happens, customers will be offered either:
- A full refund; or
- A transfer to another available date.
Járnheim cannot accept responsibility for any travel, accommodation or other costs incurred as a result of a cancellation.
5. Outdoor Activities
Járnheim is an outdoor woodland venue.
Activities take place in a natural environment which may include uneven ground, mud, tree roots, open fires and changing weather conditions.
Visitors should wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear appropriate for the season and activity.
6. Safety
The safety of our visitors is our highest priority.
All participants must follow the instructions of Járnheim staff and volunteers at all times.
Anyone whose behaviour is considered unsafe, abusive, disruptive or likely to endanger themselves or others may be asked to leave the site without refund.
7. Children
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult unless attending as part of an organised school or youth group visit.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for the behaviour and safety of children in their care throughout their visit.
8. Medical Conditions & Accessibility
Please inform us before your visit of any medical conditions, allergies, disabilities or accessibility requirements that may affect participation.
We will always do our best to accommodate reasonable requirements wherever possible.
9. Photography & Media
Photographs and video may be taken during experiences and events for promotional and marketing purposes.
If you do not wish to appear in photographs or videos, please inform a member of the Járnheim team upon arrival and we will respect your wishes wherever reasonably possible.
10. Personal Property
Visitors are responsible for their own personal belongings.
Járnheim accepts no responsibility for loss of or damage to personal property unless caused by our negligence.
11. Liability
Whilst every reasonable effort is made to provide a safe and enjoyable experience, participation in outdoor activities involves inherent risks.
Nothing within these Booking Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.
12. Changes to Activities
Járnheim reserves the right to alter activities, schedules, demonstrations or event programmes where necessary due to weather, safety considerations or operational requirements.
Where possible, any significant changes will be communicated in advance.
